Our Website Privacy Policy Page

This website is provided as a service to you and others seeking to donate recyclable clothing and household goods and/or to obtain current information and resources regarding vision loss and living with visual impairment.
Neither the CSBPS, DonateCSB nor the SightConnection web server automatically recognizes individual visitor's domain information or e-mail address; we collect that type of information only when submitted by consumers accessing our site.
CSBPS does not share or sell e-mail addresses, postal addresses or telephone numbers with other organizations.

What is our commitment to privacy?
We believe the trust donors, our clients and our shoppers have placed with us is the key to our success. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how your personal information will be treated as you use our web site. We also understand the concerns donors have with using their credit cards for online transactions. It is therefore our best interest to protect your credit card information in order to provide you with the best service possible.

Any personal information obtained on this site is for the sole use of CSBPS and it’s divisions. CSBPS may accumulate individual data for analysis to help the client build an effective Internet strategy.

We will never sell, trade, share, or rent your personal information to other charities, merchant partners, or to any other companies or individuals without your prior consent. We partner with a third-party credit card processing company, as do many e-commerce based web sites. This partner securely manages all customer data in accordance with consumer data protection laws enacted worldwide, including data handling, storage, and security.
Do we track you on our website?
Yes, we may collect your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. (An IP address is the unique number that is assigned to your computer automatically when you log onto the Internet.) We also use IP addresses to monitor visitor traffic patterns and site usage to help us further develop and improve the content and design of our site. We do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable about you.

No. We do not.
Can I opt out of receiving information?
Yes. Upon registering, you can request to receive email communications from us. These messages will always contain unsubscribe instructions. Requests for account cancellation should be sent to CSBPS@CSBPS.com. We reserve the right to maintain information on registered users who have asked to have their telephone numbers placed on the “Never Call” list.

From time-to-time our site may request information from users via surveys. Participation is completely voluntary. Information requested may include psychographic information (such as age and zip code). This information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Community Services for the Blind (CSB) and Community Services for the Blind and Partially Sighted (CSBPS) does not share, sell or distribute our customer's phone, mailing or credit card information. Our policy is to ensure the privacy of our customer's information.

Community Services for the Blind occasionally mails out educational newsletters and product catalogues to SightConnection customers.
